Keith Urban has revealed that he is surprised Nicole Kidman did not walk out on him at the beginning of their marriage.

The Australian singer, who appeared with actress wife Kidman on a special episode of Oprah Winfrey’s chatshow, stated that she “should” suffer left him after he gave in to his alcohol and cocaine addiction only four months subsequent to their wedding.

Urban said: “She really should hold walked. I’m just glad she didn’t. She made a decision to initiate. Ultimately, their intervention and the love the was in that room at that minute was just right.”

He also said that he never could have kicked his addictions if it was not for his wife’s support.

Nicole Kidman has been cast in the lead role in director Park Chan-Wook’s “Stoker,” The Inquisitor reports. The film, which is set to be released next year, tells the story of eccentric teen India, whose uncle returns to the family following the death of her father. People begin to go missing around her hometown, and India begins to suspect that her uncle may be the reason.
Kidman, 44, is set to portray the girl’s mother, Indiewire said. She will be joined by a cast including Matthew Goode, Jack Weaver, Lucas Till and Mia Wasikowska.
According to Inquisitor, not much else is known about the film. However, the news site notes that Chan-Wook’s previous films “Oldboy” and “Thirst” are recognized by twists and brutal subject matter.
The role is the latest for Kidman, who just dyed her hair peroxide blonde for her role in the upcoming thriller “Paperboy.” She will portray Charlotte Bless, a woman with a dark side who writes letters to men on death row, E! Online reported. The thriller tells the story of a reporter who returns to his Florida hometown in order to investigate a case involving a man on death row.

Keith Urban and his wife Nicole Kidman have a new addition to their family!

Nicole, 43, and Keith, 43, had a new baby girl on December 28, 2010 named Faith Margaret Kidman Urban thanks to a surrogate.
“Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret,” the couple said in a statement. “No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier.”
Nicole and Keith are already proud parents of their 2-year-old daughter, Sunday-Rose, and this will be their second biological child together.

Nicole Kidman jumped on board the braided hair trend with a fishtail plait at the Billboard music Awards. Nicole accompanied her hubby, Keith Urban, to the Billboard Music Awards in a demure style. The actress opted for a floor-length beaded Dries van Noten evening gown with a t-shirt style bodice and deep pockets. The sheer skirt is the saving grace for this otherwise matronly number, but Nicole looks comfortable and confident, and we have to commend that.

Although born to Austrailian parents, and an Australian national, Nicole Kidman was actually born in Hawaii and spent her earliest years in Washington, D.C. She broke into film at the age of 16, and, after gaining much acclaim in the Australian films "Bush Christmas" and "BMX Bandits," her career swung into an upward trajectory that brought her back to the United States and Hollywood and to the status as an international movie superstar.

Kidman has appearing in chillers since her very first role--the Australian TV movie "Chase Through the Night" in 1983)--and her first film for the international market and an American studio was "Dead Calm".

Kidman has some 50 movies to her name, and close to half of those are dark thrillers, horror films, or comedies that include supernatural elements. Foremost among these are the aforementioned "Dead Calm (1989), To Die For (1995), "Practical Magic" (1998), "The Others" (2001) and "Bewitched" (2005).

Kidman has four movie projects in varying stages of production, with "Tresspass" (slated for release early this fall) being perhaps the closest thing to a horror movie among then. Kidman stars as a woman being held hostage with her husband (played by Nicolas Cage).

Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman has topped the list of the 10 most influential celebrity mothers in Australia.
The study of more than 2000 people was carried out by brand, media and communications researchers Millward Brown.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Kidman had a score of 65 percent and Rebecca Gibney and Olivia Newton John both at 63 percent at the second place.
"This is a list of mothers who could most influence buyer-behaviour," company account director Hannah McHard, was quoted as saying.
"Nicole Kidman tops the list because she is seen as clever and sensible; she has been through a lot and her strength of character is something that many mothers would identify with," she added.
