Madonna has revealed plans to open an orphanage in Malawi.
The '4 Minutes' singer, who adopted son David and daughter Mercy from the impoverished South African country, explained her charitable goals in an interview for Ovation's new series American Revolutionaries: The Hitmakers.

Madonna explained: "My short term goals are to build an orphan care centre that will service and reach at least 1,000 children and I'm also actively involved in funding several orphanages that already exist."

It was reported in March that Madonna's charity Raising Malawi had squandered more than £2.4 million ($3.8m) over plans for a school that was never built, leading to an upheaval in the foundation's board of directors.

Madonna was later said to be considering taking legal action against the directors following the financial mismanagement.

She revealed in January 2011 that she planned to restructure Raising Malawi so that the charity could operate on a "bigger scale" in the coming years.

Madonna received a dance scholarship to the University of Michigan after graduating from high school. Madonna's ballet teacher persuaded her to pursue a dance career, so she left the University of Michigan at the end of 1977 and moved to New York City.

On March 10, 2008, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Madonna reportedly set to adopt again Officials say papers have been filed and pop star is headed to Malawi.
BLANTYRE, Malawi - Madonna is planning to adopt a second child from Malawi, officials said Thursday, but questions have already been raised over whether the newly divorced pop star will face obstacles because of her single mom status.
An official at the Malawi welfare department said Madonna, who is 50 and a mother of three, had filed adoption papers in the southern African country. Another person in Malawi close to the case said Madonna would be there this weekend and a court could hear her adoption case as soon as Monday.

Madonna has my favorite Louis Vuitton bag of recent years, the slouchy chic Mahina. The shape is modern and casual and it manages to showcase the iconic (if over exposed) logo in a subtle manner. This is the XL size ($3,360 and almost 30" wide!), way too big for me and for a person who is recovering from a recent horse injury. But then again, she"s grinding the ax at the gym already, what"s a heavy bag!?!?  I personally like the L size ($2,740), it"s still very large at 18" but it folds and drapes into itself, appearing much smaller. 
She does look a bit off though, her coloring is very pale and she is missing that Madonna sparkle.  Maybe she should take more time and rest from her injury.
